Terms of Use
Effective 1 September 2026. Published by Aravind Arumugam, the maker of Sift Board.
By installing or using Sift Board you agree to these terms and to the Atlassian Marketplace Terms of Use, which govern where these terms are silent.
Licence
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Sift Board on your Atlassian Cloud sites for as long as it is installed. The free edition is provided free of charge. Paid editions, if offered, are licensed through the Atlassian Marketplace under its billing terms.
Your content
You keep all rights to the data on your boards and to your Confluence content. Sift Board stores board rows, view settings and connector credentials inside your own Atlassian site, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Connected services and credentials
Sift Board calls the third-party services you configure, using the credentials you supply. You are responsible for having the right to connect each service, for the terms and rate limits of that service, and for the scope of every token you save. Give each connector the least access it needs. Those services are operated by their own providers, not by us: we do not control their availability, their data handling, or what they return.
Webhooks
A webhook view accepts rows from anyone holding its address and token. Keep both secret, keep them out of build logs, and rotate them if they are exposed. We are not responsible for data written to a view by a party you gave those details to.
The Sift Agent
The Sift Agent is a separate command line program you choose to run on your own machines, under its own licence. You are responsible for the queries and commands you configure it to run and for the systems it connects to.
Acceptable use
Do not use Sift Board to break the law, to move data you have no right to move, to overload a third-party service through excessive fetch schedules, to interfere with Atlassian services, or to reverse-engineer the app except where the law allows it.
Availability and support
Sift Board is provided “as is”. We aim to keep it working and answer support requests within two business days, but we do not guarantee uptime, connector accuracy, delivery of any particular fetch, or fitness for a particular purpose. Do not use a board as the only record of anything you cannot afford to lose, or as an alerting system of record.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for the free edition is nil; for paid editions it is limited to the fees you paid in the previous twelve months.
Termination
Uninstall the app at any time; these terms end when you do, and the data it stored is removed with it. We may withdraw the app from the Marketplace with reasonable notice.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes go to the courts of Chennai.
