What Sift is
Sift is an Atlassian Forge app that adds filters, buttons and colour rules to tables on Confluence Cloud pages. It runs entirely on Atlassian's infrastructure (“Runs on Atlassian”).
Data we process
- Page content. Sift reads the table inside the macro in your browser to render filters. Table content is never sent to us and never stored by the app.
- Stored settings. Using Atlassian's Forge storage (inside your Atlassian site), Sift stores: (a) per macro, the list of column values a page editor chose to hide from the filter buttons; (b) per macro and per user, that user's last filter selection so it can be restored. This data stays in your Atlassian site's Forge storage and is deleted when the app is uninstalled.
- Identity. Sift receives your Atlassian account ID from the Forge platform to key your remembered selection and to ask Confluence whether you may edit the page. We do not see your name or email.
Data we do not collect
No analytics, no telemetry, no cookies, no external services. Sift declares no egress permissions; it cannot send data outside Atlassian.
Permissions (scopes)
storage:app: the stored settings above.read:confluence-content.permission: a permission check to decide whether you can edit the page.
Retention and deletion
Stored settings live for as long as the app is installed on your site. Uninstalling the app removes them. Site administrators may also contact us to request deletion.
Sub-processors
Atlassian (hosting and Forge storage). No others.
